Q: The testnet faucet (Claim Test Tokens) is gone. How do I obtain my first asset on the mainnet?
- A: The mainnet uses real assets and no longer has test coin faucets. You must deposit supported assets (e.g., USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL) into SoDEX from other exchanges or your own external wallet.
Q: The mainnet deposit methods (Regular Mode / Flash Mode) differ significantly from the testnet. What are the differences?
- A: Yes, the mainnet offers two deposit modes:
- Regular Mode: Supports depositing multiple tokens from their native mainnets (e.g., depositing BTC from the Bitcoin network). Processed via Mirror Protocol, it operates at a slightly slower pace (approximately 2 minutes for settlement) and functions as a secure multi-chain asset “mapping” service.
- Flash Mode: Designed for specific assets (currently MAG7.ssi, sMAG7.ssi, SOSO), enabling near-instant deposits from Base or Ethereum chains via dedicated cross-chain bridges. Extremely fast.
- $SOSO supports both modes.
- Standard Mode supports deposits for all token assets except MAG7.ssi. Flash Mode supports only Mag seven and s Mag seven.
Q: Does the mainnet impose minimum deposit/withdrawal limits and fees? What are the specifics?
A: Yes. To ensure operational efficiency and prevent dust attacks, the mainnet enforces minimum thresholds and fees.
[WARNING: This rule regarding minimum deposits is extremely important!]
All tokens have a minimum amount per single deposit (e.g., the minimum deposit for USDC is 5 USDC).
- If your single deposit amount is below this minimum threshold, the assets will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
- The system does not accumulate multiple small deposits. Each deposit transaction is judged individually.
Example (Must Read): Assume the minimum deposit for USDC is 5 USDC.
- A user first deposits 3 USDC.
- (Result: This 3 USDC is below the 5 USDC minimum. It will be permanently lost.)
- The user then deposits another 3 USDC to the same address.
- (Result: This second 3 USDC is also below the 5 USDC minimum. It will also be permanently lost.)
In this scenario, the user has deposited a total of 6 USDC, but because no single transaction met the minimum, both deposits will be lost entirely, and the account will not be credited.
Please Note: We provide clear reminders of the "Minimum Deposit Amount" for every token on the deposit page. Before you transfer, you must verify that your deposit amount is greater than this minimum limit.
Minimum Withdrawal Amounts and Fees: These vary by cryptocurrency. Please refer to the table on the withdrawal page. For example:
- BTC: Minimum withdrawal 0.0005 BTC, fee 0.00006 BTC.
- ETH: Minimum withdrawal 0.002 ETH, fee 0.0002 ETH.
Q: Why is the deposit address provided by the platform instead of my own wallet address? Is this secure?
- A: It is highly secure and designed to protect your assets. SoDEX employs a top-tier “multi-custodian” architecture. The deposit address you receive is a dedicated, secure custodial account address generated for you by one of three globally leading institutional-grade custodians (Cobo, Ceffu, Coinbase). Your assets flow directly into these strictly regulated institutions, not the SoDEX platform itself. This achieves off-chain asset isolation and on-chain transparent transactions, fundamentally eliminating risks of platform misappropriation or theft.
Q: If I deposit from the wrong chain or deposit unsupported tokens, will my assets be lost?
- A: Yes, they will be lost and cannot be recovered! This is a critical risk point. Warning: You must deposit the specified token to its matching native mainnet address. For example, only BTC from the Bitcoin network can be deposited to the BTC deposit address. Any transfer to the wrong network or with the wrong token will result in asset loss.
Q: How long does a deposit take to arrive? Why does my deposit status remain ‘Processing’?
- A:
- Regular Mode: Funds typically arrive within approximately 2 minutes after network confirmation.
- Flash Mode: Funds arrive in about 30 seconds.
- The “Processing” status indicates the transaction is awaiting sufficient blockchain network confirmations. You can view the estimated network confirmation time in the deposit pop-up.
- Q: How long does a withdrawal take to arrive?
- A: Withdrawal speed depends on blockchain network conditions.
- Spot (Spot): Automatically processed from hot wallets within 5 minutes.
Q:Why does my deposit remain “Pending” for an extended period? / Why are my deposits arriving slowly?
A: To safeguard the platform and all users' funds while complying with regulatory requirements, we've implemented a KYT (Know-Your-Transaction) process that performs automated security scans on every on-chain deposit.
How does it work?
The system automatically analyzes the on-chain behavior of the deposit-initiating address. Scanning duration varies based on the address's on-chain interaction frequency and complexity (more active addresses require longer processing).
How long should I wait?
In most cases, your deposit will be credited promptly. However, in rare instances, you may need to wait up to 10 minutes for the deposit to be finalized and credited to your account.
- Compliance and Tainted Assets (KYT): Should your deposit address receive funds identified as tainted or associated with illicit activity (e.g., following KYT screening), those specific assets will be rejected and automatically returned to the source address.
